English Follows.

　6/28(金)～29(土)にかけ、大阪府でG20が開催されました。G20は、"Group of Twenty"の略で、主要国首脳会議（G7）に参加する7か国、EU、ロシア、および新興国11か国の計20か国が参加しました。

　7/2(火)のコミュニケーション英語の授業では、G20とはどのようなものかを確認し、生徒一人一人が各国の代表となって、G20の関連テーマ2つ、(1) Climate Change (2) AI & Technologyに分かれ、英語でディスカッションを行いました。

KJ法(英語で行う)のディスカッションに入る前に、個人でしっかり考えてopinionふせんを作りました。中国のプラごみ輸入停止や、倫理的な問題にまで言及した班、NY研修で学んできたWater Crisisに話が及んだ班など、全体的に英語での議論のレベルが上がってきています。

　この授業で生徒が取り上げた英単語は、入試頻出語でもあります。選択４教室に掲示してありますので、ぜひ活用してください。

The G20 conference was held in Osaka Prefecture from June 28th (Fri) to 29th (Sat). G20 stands for "Group of Twenty," with a total of 20 countries participating in the Group of Seven summit (G7), the EU, Russia and 11 other countries.

In Communication English class on July 2nd (Tue), each student read some articles to understand what the G20 was like and discussed two themes related to the G20’s summit on (1) Climate Change (2) AI & Technology.

Before starting the KJ-style discussion in English, the students made their own opinion tags. Overall, discussions in English are getting better. Some groups referred to import suspensions of plastic waste in China while other groups mentioned the ethical issues about AI. The students who went to the U.S. also mentioned the water crisis.

The English words that the students picked up during this class are to be seen frequently in entrance exams. The posters are posted in the Elective Classroom 4.

　本校の一般公開の文化祭が10月27日（日）に行われます。本日から文化祭までの期間、様々な企画を提案し、準備を進めていく文化祭実行委員が本日立ち上がりました。初回の集会では、委員の自己紹介や今後のスケジュールを共有しました。

　中学生が自己紹介をする場面では、高校生から「かわいい！」と声が上がり、まるで弟や妹を見るような優しい雰囲気に包まれました。

　今日のグローバルスタディは、クラスを2つに分けて行いました。

　1つめのグループは高校1年生の授業体験を行いました。体験後に帰ってきた中学生に話を聞くと、「すごかった。自分もちゃんと勉強しなくちゃ。」「文が長い。単語が難しい。ユメタン私も欲しい。」と刺激を受けて帰ってきた様子でした。

　もう一方のグループは、校舎を使っての探索ミッションを行いました。Mission Card に書かれた指示に従って校内を探索し、メッセージを集める活動を行いました。中には、校内見取り図を活用して、あらかじめ目印をうってから出発するグループもありました。どのグループもメンバーどうし協力し、大変熱心にMission completeをめざしていました。

　During today’s Global Study, students learned a lot through two courses.

　The first group visited the classrooms of the high school and joined the English classes. One student told the teacher that he was very impressed by the high school students, and would make an effort to be a better English speaker. They were surprised to see the length and difficulty of the English sentences that the high school students used.

   The second group had a Mission Game in the school building. Following the mission cards, the students were supposed to walk around and find Message Cards. Some groups used the map of the school building effectively before their departure. All of the students attending the class did very well at today’s Global Study.
